This week's theme for Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is to pick books set in a certain time, place, etc. of my choosing. I thought it would be fun to choose books set in a one hundred year period and since I also love so many cozy mysteries I chose my favorite ones set in the 1920's. There are so many series here that I wanted to narrow down my favorites. Here is my list. I can't wait to see others' ideas!
Cozies Set in the 1920's: (Click on the title link to go to Good Reads)
1. Lady Caroline by Isabella Bassett
2. Lady Eleanor Swift by Verity Bright
3. Camille Devine Mysteries by Andrea Hicks
4. Lottie Sprigg Mysteries by Martha Bond
5. Jane Wunderly Mysteries by Erica Ruth Neubauer
6. Lord Edgington Investigates by Benedict Brown
7. Tommy and Evelyn Christie Mysteries by Catherine Coles
8. Lady Felicity Quick Mysteries by Rosie Hunt
9. Kitty Worthington Mysteries by Magda Alexander
10. Her Royal Spyness Series by Rhys Bowen
Have you read any of these series? What other cozies are your favorites?
I really enjoy historical mysteries, so I'm going to have to look into a lot of these.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
That has become such a favorite genre for me! Thanks for sharing yours Aymee!
DeleteI don't usually read historicals but I do like the Rhys Bowen series. I've only read a couple. Some of the other series look good, too, and I have them on my e-reader.
ReplyDeleteThey make me laugh out loud. Especially being from the US I love the take on aristocratic behavior. It's too funny.
DeleteI don't know why, but when I think of cozy mysteries, I don't really think of them in past settings! I mostly think contemporary. Thanks for setting me straight, LOL!
ReplyDeleteYes I am the opposite and will run across contemporary ones I want to try. I like everything set long ago but need to branch out!
DeleteThe only series here I'm familiar with is Her Royal Spyness. I've read one ages ago, and remember liking it. But I've never gone back to the series.

I think those are so funny. She has great wit and sarcasm written into these. That's why I like them. I wasn't as big of a fan of her more serious mysteries but they were still well written. Thanks for sharing your list Pam!
DeleteI started Her Royal Spyness but think I only got to the first book! One day I'll take another look!
ReplyDeleteThere are soooo many series! I can literally stress myself out trying to keep up so I just don't, lol. This one is funny though so I keep coming back to it.
DeleteI really enjoy the Lady Eleanor Swift mysteries, but haven't read any of the others. Great list. I know I will be adding some to my TBR.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carla! That's my goal in blogging, just promote good books and hope people find new things to read and vice versa for myself. I absolutely love the Eleanor Swift ones. I'm still on book 12 so I'm behind but that's okay.
